CRI听力:Lin Dan May Not Play at 2014 CBSL
The China Badminton Super League is set to get underway tomorrow amid controversy.
Chinese ace Lin Dan says he may not play in the Super League this year because of a lack of sponsorship for his team, Bayi.
"I can't guarantee to my fans that I'll take part in the competition because it will let them down if I can't do that finally. After all, CBSL is a professional league and then it should be professional. So it will make little sense for me to take part in the competition as we are lack of sponsorship. So it will be better to give these opportunities to younger players."
The opening match in the Chinese Super League will see two-time champions Guanghzou taking on Qingdao.
A total of 12 teams are divided into 2 Groups.
The Super League will run until February 9th.
