CRI听力:Israel Denies Spying on US-Iran Talks
Israel's defence minister is denying reports his government has been snooping on talks between the US and Iran connected to Iran's nuclear program.
Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon:
"There is no way, there was never any way that Israel spied on the Americans. It has been strictly forbidden by all of the political leadership that I have known for two decades, especially the current one, and no Israeli intelligence organization spies on the Americans."
The P5+1: The US, Russia, China, France, Britain, plus Germany, have been negotiating a potential deal with Tehran to try to limit Iran's nuclear program.
In exchange Iran will get relief from the current sanctions it's been living under.
However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been on-record saying any deal with Iran will "threaten the survival of Israel."
Much of that rhetoric came out ahead of last week's parliamentary elections in Israel.
Netanyahu has since softened his tone on certain issues.
