Energy, infrastructure and education are expected to be the highlights of Xi Jinping's time in Pakistan.
The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, which runs from the city of Kashgar in Xinjiang to the Port of Gwadar in southwestern Pakistan is also expected to be one of the priorities for the Chinese President.
The total investment of the corridor is estimated to reach $45 billion.
Pakistan is the first leg of an oversease trip by Xi Jinping.
He's also due to make a stop in Indonesia after his time in Pakistan.
