CRI听力:IS 'Too Early' to be Linked to Texas Attack: White House
The White House says it's too early to link the Islamic State to this week's attack in Texas targeting a group displaying characters of the Prophet Mohammed.
White House spokesperson Josh Earnest says investigators are looking into the claims.
"At this point this is still under investigation by the FBI and other members of the intelligence community to determine any ties or affiliations that these two individuals may have had with ISIL or other terrorist organizations around the world. So it's too early to say."
The Islamic State is claiming responsibility for the attack.
A pair of gunmen attempted to storm a controversial Mohammed cartoon contest in the city of Garland with assault rifles and body armor.
The would-be gunmen were shot and killed by local security forces before they could make it inside the event.
