CRI听力:Exit Polls Suggest Run-off Vote in Poland's Presidential Election
Exit polling is suggesting Poland's presidential elections are headed into a run-off.
Surveys are suggesting lead contender Andrzej Duda and incumbent Bronislaw Komorowski will face-off in a second round of voting scheduled for May 24th.
Duda is the candidate for the conservative Law and Justice party.
He's believed to have a slight lead over Komorowski, who represents Poland's Civic Platform party.
Voter turnout has been pegged at around 50 percent.
"I have voted for the current president, I think it is a good choice and a good candidacy."
"For sure I have not voted for Komorowski, we have his leading up to here."
Official results are due out on Tuesday.
While Poland is a Parliamentary democracy, the President does head the country's armed forces.
He also has a say in foreign policy and holds the power to veto legislation.
Komorowski has been president since 2010.
