2015-06-03来源:CRI

Reporter: Dave Wong is a familiar name to the generation who was born in 1970s, since the pop musician was active in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Wong released his Mandarin debut album A Game A Dream or Yi Chang You Xi Yi Chang Meng (一场游戏一场梦)in Taiwan in 1987. It quickly shot up the charts and sold over 500,000 copies in December of the same year.

He performed his first Beijing concert in November 2004. Later on August 7th, 2010, Beijing, again, became the first stop for Dave's series of world tour concerts, which also took him later to Singapore.

The singer has recently revealed the difference between his new concert and previous ones.

"I will sing by myself all the way along the upcoming concert. The only difference is that I will play a musical instrument when singing. My fans select several of my new songs for me to sing at the concert in August."

Although the singer declined to reveal the exact number of songs he would sing for the coming concert, he said he has no plan to invite a guest singer to join him.

Dave Wong admits it's a heavy load on his throat singing alone throughout the entire concert.

"I won't speak much in my concert. These's almost no break between each song. This really poses a challenge to my throat, because my songs demand a high-pitched voice. However to lower the pitch of my voice is also difficult for me. This vocal work load is very heavy on my throat."

Last but not the least, Dave Wong has long been enthusiastic for charity, thus he has promised he would give out a total of 61 concert tickets with his signature of name on it. And the earnings from sales of these 61 concert tickets will go to aid children with cerebral palsy.
