The International Olympic Committee has started the second day of its executive board meeting in Lausanne.
Olympic leaders will discuss the implementation of the 2020 Olympic Agenda and the preparations for the forthcoming Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Pyeongchang, South Korea and Tokyo.
Following the two-day meeting, the 85 committee members will hear technical presentations from the 2022 Winter Olympics candidates, Beijing, China and Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Tuesday.
IOC Executive Board member, Sergey Bubka, says he appreciates efforts made by the two candidates.
"I think it will be very interesting days, it will be the 2022 presentation and later on, an election for the city at the end of July in Kuala Lumpur. I think there are two very good candidates."
Beijing Mayor and President of the city's Bid Committee, Wang Anshun, has said Beijing is on the right track to convince the IOC members that the city is the right choice for a successful Winter Olympiad.
The two candidates will hold their theme exhibition on Wednesday.
The final vote for the 2022 host city will take place in Kuala Lumpur on July 31.
