An Australian researcher is in Beijing to deliver lectures on the innovations being made with 3D printing technology.
Xinhua Wu, from Monash University, is part of a team which has become the first in the world to successfully create a jet engine with 3D-printing technology.
Aircraft giants Boeing and Airbus are now working with the Australian researchers to develop aircraft components through the technology.
The same group of researchers is also working with Chinese firm Yinbang based in the city of Wuxi in Jiangsu on developing ways to further market 3D printing technology.
CRI's Li Chenxi has caught with Xinhua Wu from Monash University to discuss her research.
