With only two full days to go before the start of their new English Premier League campaign, Swansea City manager Garry Monk has addressed his clubs goal for the new season.
"I think for a club like us it's always to try and get to 40 points as quickly as possible. Secure the club in the Premier League and look to push on from there. We did that last season. That was our aim. We got to 40 points earlier than ever before and we were able to push on after that. So it'll be the same this season."
Swansea City finished 8th last season with 56 points.
