A last-minute goal from Ricardo Goulart has helped defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande to a 1-0 win over Jiangsu Sainty on Wednesday.
The victory puts Guangzhou atop the league standings with 47 points.
Beijing Guo'an has taken a 3-1 home win over visiting Shandong Luneng.
Piao Cheng notched a goal for Guo'an in the game.
"This game is very important. We are desperate for a victory. We also want the three points as the top four team are so close at the standings. So only by winning every game shall we have a chance to be the Super League Champions."
In other action, Shanghai SIPG has drawn with Henan Jianye 2-2.
Tianjin Teda also drew with Shijiazhuang 1-1.
