CRI听力:Sergio Ramos Signs Five-year Deal at Real Madrid
Read Madrid has agreed to a new contract with defender Sergio Ramos.
The new deal will see Ramos stay with the Spanish powerhouse for the next 5-years.
"I've never said I want to leave Real Madrid, I always wanted to be here, as long as my president and fans allow. I would like to retire here. I think there's almost nothing as beautiful as that and I'd be absolutely grateful. Now I have a new challenge, which is being captain of this club, of this team, and I'll do it the best I can."
The 29-year-old was being actively courted by Manchester United this summer.
Ramos has helped lead Real Madrid to a UEFA Champions League trophy, three Spanish league titles and two Copa del Rey titles since he joined the club in 2005.
Real Madrid is set to begin its La Liga season on Sunday.
