CRI听力:Brazil Names World Cup Qualifying Team without Neymar
Brazilian head coach Dunga has announced his squad for the first two matches for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Venezuela.
Captain and main star Neymar has been left off the squad for both games.
"We would like to be able to rely on Neymar, but we can't do that, so we have to focus on the players who will contribute to these two qualifiers. We have to bring together the strength of the players we have, if not we are going to lose focus speaking about something which is not concrete."
Neymar has been suspended for four games after an incident at the Copa America for his conduct in a loss to Colombia.
He has already missed two games in the South American tournament, but is expected to return against Argentina in Buenos Aires.
The South American qualifiers are a round-robin format with all 10 teams facing each other home and away.
Brazil will kick off their campaign away in Chile on October 8th.
