CRI听力:Actresses in Sleepwear Promote 'Run for Love'

Reporter: Ben Ai ("奔爱") or Run for Love in English tells five separate stories regarding a path to discover love in a recently-released film trailer.

Famous Chinese directors, Zhang Yibai, Teng Huatao, Guan Hu, Zhang Meng and Gao Qunshu would, each, direct an individual story, through which they would interpret their own understanding of pursuing love.

Equally heavyweight is the film's leading actresses, including 36-year old Zhang Ziyi, who is currently engaged to Chinese rock artist Wang Feng, but was absent at the promotional activity probably due to her pregnancy.

32-year old Taiwan singer-actress Michelle Chen is one of the leading actresses.

"The film is set in a world of thick ice and snow, and my role is seeking love till the end of the world and finally discovers it at an unnoticeable corner."

Meanwhile, director Guan Hu and his actress -wife Liang Jing would join hands again in one of the five stories in 'Run for Love' following many earlier collaborations such as a 2013 high-grossing film 'The Chef, The Actor, The Scoundrel'.

Liang Jing explains her role in this new film.

"I act as a woman who gradually loses her way in her marriage. I feel that if you only take care of your own needs when the pair spends time together, you might suffer a loss of love step by step. In fact, only when you begin to sacrifice, will you discover love is often with you."

Young actress Zhou Dongyu, who rose to her fame after appearing in Zhang Yimou's film The Love of the Hawthorn Tree, also plays a lead role in Run for Love.

"As the film name 'Run for Love' indicates, my character is a girl who's brave enough to explore and express love regardless of all the adverse conditions."

However, none of the five directors made appearance at Sunday's promotional activity, which focused on having fun with actresses in nightgowns but gave little details about the behind the scene stories.
