The Golden State Warriors have made history.

Klay Thompson chipped in a team-high 21 points to lead Golden State to a 118-105 win over the Denver Nuggets to push the club to a 15-0 start to the NBA season.

Stephen Curry had 19 points in the game.

"It's a huge accomplishment. Obviously coming off a championship and taking care of business 15 straight times to start a season, I mean, couldn't ask for a better start obviously. Maybe two games ago it became, like, a real conversation in the locker room, 'Since we're here, might as well get it done.' And now since we're 15, might as well get 16, that's the next step so I'm excited about that challenge on Tuesday."

The Warriors equaled the best start to a season in NBA history, set by Yao Ming and his Houston Rockets in the 1993-94 season.

The defending champions can break the record with a win at home against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.

The Lakers comes into that match-up on the heels of a 107-93 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Kobe Bryant scored 18 points in the game.
