Chinese World number-1 Chen Long will not be competing in the finals in the Men's Single's event later on this Sunday.
Despite having won all previous 7-matches against him, Chen Long went down to Denmark's Viktor Axelsen 21-12, 21-17 on Saturday night in the semi-finals.
"Right now of course I'm pretty overwhelmed. This is a major achievement for me, it is one of my best matches of my career, if not the best. So of course I'm really happy right now."
Axelson will be up against Japan's Kento Momota, who got past Jan O. Jorgensen in the other semi-final.
