CRI听力:Chinese Share Markets Closed after Tumbling over 7 Pct
Trading on the A-share markets was again halted after shares tumbled 7 percent within the first 30 minutes after the opening.
This is the second time the circuit breaker was triggered this year, after a similar plunge on Monday.
It was also the shortest trading time in China's capital market history.
We will have the specific numbers later in the biz section.
It is reported that the securities regulator has held an unscheduled meeting on market conditions and the circuit breakers.
At the same time, in a bid to stabilize the market, the China Securities Regulatory Commission has released new limits on the amount of stock major shareholders can sell, which will take effect on Saturday.
The regulations require that substantial shareholders cannot sell more than 1 percent of the total shares in three months.
CRI's Spencer Musick spoke earlier with Liu Baocheng.
