CRI听力:Europe Open with 4.5-2.5 Lead on Asia at Eurasia Cup
Europe has taken a 4.5 to 2.5 lead over Asia after the opening day of the Eurasia Cup in Kuala Lumpur.
European captain Lee Westwood says their lead could have been even bigger.
"Yeah, I think you'd take a scoreline like that. That's quite a big win, even down to that match being halved instead of a loss, you know that can mean a lot. At one point I think we were up in all six. Credit to the Asian boys for fighting back and getting one and half points. We know we've got a strong team and they have got a strong team. We know we have to perform well and there won't be any complacency on our side and we'll just come out fast a fresh tomorrow and try to win that session as well."
The Asia team includes Chinese golfer Wu Ashun.
He and his Japanese playing partner Shingo Katayama went down to the European pair of Andy Sullivan and Shane Lowry on Friday.
Liang Wenchong is China's other representative at the Eurasia Cup.
The event is similar to the Ryder Cup, with the first team to 15 the winner.
Six more four-ball matches and 12 singles matches are still going to be played out this weekend.
