CRI听力:China Mulls to Boost Residential Housing Renting Market
It's being reported that Chinese regulators are considering offering subsidies for the residential home-rental market.
Economic Information Daily says authorities may encourage investors and developers to buy existing commercial housing and then lease it to renters.
Companies like Vanke and Lianjia are already in discussion with regulators on the new policy.
The policy comes after the central government vowed to cut stockpiles in the property market in a key economic meeting held last month.
Official data shows that, last year, the home renting market involved more than 100 million people and generated over one trillion yuan for real estate or related service providers.
For more on the policy, the Beijing Hour's Shane Bigham spoke earlier with CRI's Financial Commentator Cao Can.
