CRI听力:Boxing Movie 'The Queen of Fighters' Goes Online at iQiyi

Many sports film enthusiasts champion boxing movies to be the best sports related genre.

Now a new movie that tells a story about a female boxer may gratify their enthusiasm once again.

The movie The Queen of Fighters or Yv Jie Quan Huang in Chinese ("御姐拳皇") stars Xu Dongmei, an action star who began grabbing public attention soon after she became the only female disciple of superstar Jackie Chan.

Xu has recently promoted her film in Beijing.

"This is my first experience to act in a boxing movie. I'm happy to be given the opportunity to prove myself in this movie."

In contrast to this strong female boxer, her boy friend appears a lot weaker in both temperament and behavior. Young actor Zhan Mu acts as her lover.

"In the film, she keeps protecting me. But I often drag her legs, and I also give her a lot of pressure."

Directed by Dong Wei, the film depicts how an ordinary female whose right arm possesses super strength develops herself into a professional boxer in order to protect her beloved.

The boxing film has recently gone online at "iQiyi", a very popular online video platform in China.
