CRI听力:Film and Concert to be Integrated: CEO of Starry Asia Entertainment
A film and a concert are two separate things.
But an insider of China's entertainment industry has built up a link between the two.
Ma Le is the founder and CEO of Starry Asia Entertainment. His company launched a concert last year for the film Mr. Six.
"As we all know, The internet is a dominant mean by which people can gain access to a bundle of entertainment products. An online discussion regarding the concert for Mr. Six generated 50 million views, which has created a record for a concert in any single Chinese city. Its success leads me to believe concerts for those blockbusters would be well-received by both moviegoers and music fans."
Ma Le thinks the power and charm of these concerts designed on the basis of movies lies in the interactive experiences that audience members may enjoy.
He's also announced his company plans to hold over 50 concerts in over twenty cities by 2017.
