The world's largest solar powered airplane is now taking part in the latest leg of its around-the-world journey after undergoing 10 months of repair in Hawaii.
The Swiss-made 'Solar Impulse 2' is expected to land in Mountain View, California in three days.
Pilot Bertrand Piccard, who is flying the last leg, says he expects a smooth trip.
"I have wet hands. And this morning, I am so confident because the training flight here went well, the team has done a fantastic job, the weather looks good. Now of course this is exploration, so we don't know and we have to be ready for everything."
The 'Solar Impulse 2' has over 17-thousand pieces of solar panels on its wings that enable itself to be powered only by the sun.
It started its global flight from Abu Dhabi in March of last year.
It landed in Hawaii last July, and was forced to stay there after its battery system sustained heat damage on its trip from Japan.
Before that, 'Solar Impulse 2' also had to wait for over a month in Nanjing to get the right weather conditions to make its flight to Japan.
Once it arrives in California, the plane will fly across the US and Southern Europe before arriving back in Abu Dhabi.
