CRI听力:Pop Diva Faye Wong Supports Zheng Jun's Rock Dog

Pop diva Faye Wong has recently attended a red carpet ceremony at the premiere of Veteran Chinese rock singer Zheng Jun's upcoming animated movie Rock Dog.

Along with her is her daughter Leah Dou, who just turned herself into an English-language singer-songwriter by releasing her first single River Run in 2015.

Zheng Jun, who undoubtedly became the center of the premiere, said he spent six years on the animated movie Rock Dog, or "Yao Gun Zang Ao" in Chinese, which is based on an original comic book by the singer himself.

Rock Dog is a Chinese-American film with both English and Chinese versions. It tells the story of a wide-eyed Tibetan Mastiff 'Bodi' that has the courage to take risks in order to realize his dreams in music.

Zheng describes the story of this upcoming movie as a mirror of his own life experiences.

It has been over 20 years since the 49-year-old released his first album, Naked, or "Chi Luo Luo" in Chinese, which made Zheng one of the country's most popular rock musicians.

Rock Dog is scheduled to hit theatres on July 8th.
