This year's event, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, includes 640 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions.
The Chinese Martial Arts Literature exhibition is hoping to introduce readers to 8 esteemed martial arts novelists from different eras, such as Liang Yusheng, Gu Long, as well as Louis Cha Leung-yung, better known by his pen name Jin Yong in Mandarin.
Johnny Wan, director of Hong Kong's Trade and Development Council, says they're hoping to reach beyond Chinese readers.
"The book fair is not only just by HK citizen, last year we were also attended by over 100,000 visitors from all over the world, so I think we also want to make use of this platform to promote Chinese martial arts. HK is really an international bridge."
This year's fair also include a number of historical artifacts on display, including manuscripts, first editions and adapted comics and films.
One of the highlights is the Literary Giant exhibition, which showcases Louis Cha's works.
Cha's fiction has a widespread following on the international stage.
Over 100 million copies of his works have been sold around the world, making him one of the most influential modern Chinese martial arts novelists of all-time.
"I want to be a novelist, because I believe that good literature can touch readers' hearts and bring them a lot of joy."
"These novels taught me what is the responsibility, you have to shoulder more responsibilities to protect people around you."
Professor Lin Baochu with Taiwan Normal University says the literature on display in Hong Kong not only provides readers with action, but also include lessons in morality.
"The martial arts literature has the essence of China's traditional culture, and teaches people how to behave as a good person."
