In recent years, China has increasd its efforts in humanitarian relief on a global scale.
During Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's visit to the UN last week, he pledged to provide an extra 100 million US dollars to help address the global refugee and migrant crisis.
Apart from finances, the country is also adapting its humanitarian efforts to fit with the China-proposed "One Belt and One Road" initiative.
For more on this, CRI's Min Rui spoke with Elhadj As Sy, Secretary-General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, here in Beijing.
