Celebrated American actor Tom Cruise's new film Jack Reacher: Never Go Back is due for release in Chinese cinemas on October 21st, or next Friday.

Earlier, Tom Cruise arrived in a cinema in Beijing's central business district, promoting Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, and he let his fans know what makes the role so fulfilling for him to reprise.

The sequel is based on author Lee Child's 18th novel in the best-selling Jack Reacher series.

Jack Reacher returns with his particular brand of justice in this highly anticipated sequel.

Cobie Smulders plays Major Susan Turner, who heads Reacher's old investigative unit. She is arrested for treason. After realizing that she is innocent, Reacher feels obliged to break her out of prison and uncover the truth behind a major government conspiracy.

The first installment, Jack Reacher is an American action thriller film released in 2012.
