Chinese internet giant Baidu raked in about 3.1 billion yuan, or about 465 million U.S. dollars in net profit in the third quarter of the year, up 9.2 percent year on year.
The world's largest Chinese search engine gained 18.3 billion yuan in total revenue.
The figure represents a 0.7 percent drop from the last year.
This marks Baidu's first drop in revenue since it went to public in 2005.
For more on this, we are joined on the line by Mike Bastin, Director of the China Business Center at Southampton Solent University.
