CRI听力:Boeing to build completion center in China
Boeing is to set up a completion and delivery center for its 737 planes in eastern China.
The location in Zhoushan City will be Boeing's first overseas facility as part of its 737 production system.
The move will significantly expand its cooperation with the aviation industry in China and support an increase in the capacity of the Boeing 737 assembly line.
To alleviate financial pressure on the government and accelerate the building of civilian airports, China has opened the door to private capital.
According to a new guideline issued by the national aviation authority, private capital is now permitted in the construction and operation of civilian airports and their affiliated facilities.
Experts say China will need more than 6,800 new airplanes over the next two decades, with a total value of over one trillion dollars.
For more on this, we are joined by CRI business analyst Einar Tangen.
