Chinese mainland mobile developer Meitu says it has started testing demand for a proposed Hong Kong initial public offering worth about 750 million U.S. dollars.
The Meitu listing will be the largest of its kind in Hong Kong by a technology company in nearly a decade.
The Xiamen-based company makes apps for touching up selfie photos.
Meitu plans to use about 35 percent of the IPO proceeds to expand its smart hardware business, while around 25 percent will go toward strategic investments and acquisitions.
For more on this, CRI's Ding Heng spoke earlier with John Ross, senior fellow of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University.
