As China's contribution to globalization, experts believe the "Belt and Road" initiative will offer benefits beyond the countries along the routes.
For an assessment, CRI's reporter at this year's Bo'ao Forum for Asia, Lu Chang, caught up with Professor Kent E. Calder, director of the Edwin O. Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
