CRI听力:Chinese in America
Richard Yang is the president of the Carolinas Chinese Chamber of Commerce, as well as an international trade advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina. Yang has lived in U.S. for 27 years.
For Yang, the most attractive attributes about the U.S. are its value of freedom, a diverse culture, creativity, a relatively small government and clean air.
Yang says the U.S. is a culturally diversified country with a lot of brains from all over the world, with creativity and also a democratic climate in every aspect. But the U.S. faces a lot of problems and challenges in the areas of creating jobs, social welfare and racial conflicts. According to Yang, Americans are more likely to embrace religion, and they are very friendly, open, hard-working, and creative.
Yang believes that surely a great China-US relationship is very important. He really wishes the China-US relationship will be friendly and peaceful.
