US President Donald Trump is set to embark on a 12-day visit to five Asian nations, including China, from November 8 to 10.

How is his trip being viewed by members of the US Congress? How do US Congressmen view the current situation of US-China relations?

Steve Daines is a US Senator from the State of Montana. Prior to his years on Capitol Hill, Daines spent thirteen years in a management role for Procter & Gamble and was based in China for six years. Now representing Montana, an important agricultural state, he hopes to bring more Montana farm products to the Chinese market.

In an exclusive interview with CRI's Washington correspondent Liu Kun, Daines talked about his expectations of Trump's upcoming trip and his understanding of current US-China relations.
