CRI听力:US expert hails China's efforts in poverty alleviation, sustainable development
The 19th CPC National Congress has successfully concluded in Beijing in October, 2017, reviewing China's performance in the past five years under the CPC leadership, and scheduling China’s future development path in the new era.
The report delivered by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, at the opening session of the Party Congress has also been under constant and heated discussion home and abroad ever since.
Stephen Orlins, President of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, says that he's deeply impressed by China's determination to strike a balance between poverty alleviation and sustainable development, as well as China's role as a responsible stakeholder on the world stage.
Stephen Orlins gave his opinions during an exclusive interview with CRI's New York Correspondent Qian Shanming in New York early November.
