CRI听力:Xu Jinglei Tastes of Crime
Veteran Chinese actress Xu Jinglei's latest film "Tastes of Crime" is set for release in April.
Xu Jinglei is playing the role of a Japanese crime boss in the film.
"I'm quite excited to play a bad character. I have rarely been nervous about acting. But this time, I was asked repeatedly trying on different costumes and hairstyles, and to be honest, it made me a little exhausted."
"Tastes of Crime" is directed by Hong Kong actor-turned director Nick Cheung, who also plays an undercover cop in the film.
Xu is also an actress-turned-director. She became famous overseas when she won a best director award for "Letter From An Unknown Woman" in the 2004 San Sebastian International Film Festival inSpain.
It's scheduled to hit Chinese theatres on April 28.
