2018-12-05来源:CRI

A movie called The Photographer portrays how ordinary people in Shenzhen have been working hard in their business pursuits over the past 40 years. It premiered in Beijing Tuesday afternoon.

The Photographer centers on a photographer's family, which runs a studio in Shenzhen, a city at the forefront of China's 'Reform and Opening Up' initiative.

Actor Liu Mu (刘牧) portrays the youngest photographer Cai Anguo in the family.

"In the film, my father is conservative and prudent. He's quite skillful in his area. However, I'm the opposite personality type and in his eyes, I'm idle and do no decent work. I like to run after fashion and frequently change my long hairstyles imitating those Hong Kong pop stars. In the film, I wore a total of five different wigs."

Eventually, Cai Anguo grows into an open-minded artist who finds success.

The film also shows how four million people from Hunan migrated to Shenzhen to live and work after the 'Reform and Opening Up' policy began.

The Photographer, a tribute to the 40th anniversary of China's 'Reform and Opening Up' policy, is due to hit theatres nationwide on December 12th.
