CRI听力:Brazil to accept aid to fight Amazon fires
On Tuesday, Brazil's government walked back its rejection of 20 million U.S. dollars in foreign aid to help fight the fires blazing in the Amazon rainfores
President Jair Bolsonaro originally said he would only accept the help if French President Emmanuel Macron apologized to him personally for what he perceived as an insult.
Meanwhile, wild fires in Africa have also come into the spotlight.
NASA data shows a fire burning across Angola, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The area, the Congo basin forest, is known as Earth's "second green lung" after the Amazon.
What's the situation on the ground? What measures should be taken to prevent the fires in Africa from blazing out of control?
Listen to the discussion by Wang Xiao and Xu Yawen from China Plus.
