Tibetan Singer Releases His New Song
Suolang Zhaxi (索朗扎西), a 33-year old Tibetan singer who has performed in the 2010 CCTV New Year's Gala, has recently released a new song Kang Ruo Mei Duo, literally translated as a flower from heaven.
He writes the lyrics as "I would not wish for anything in my life, as long as you stay healthy and happy. I want to protect you in every moment, and you are blessed with love and fortune."
Suolang Zhaxi's new song reflects the singer's take on the pride of being a father, anticipating the joy that comes with watching his children grow up.
The Tibetan singer, who has released four albums, also released "Propose Song", or Qiu Hun Ge in Chinese ("求婚歌") and also a music video online. Both the song and its music video have won thousands of hits online.
Suolang Zhaxi says he used to be stricken by poverty and also recalled that he used the money from selling two yaks to record his most classical piece, "Girl, I love you", which he sang at New Year's gala.
