The United States is one of the biggest countries in the world.美国是世界上面积最大的国家之一，

It has all sorts of geography,from deserts to beaches, mountains to flatlands.拥有沙漠，沙滩，山地和平地等各种地理风貌。

These conditions help create all sorts of weather:这些地理状况导致了各种天气情况的出现:

mild, moderate and extreme.温和的，适中的和极端的。

In the summer, some areas get very hot and the air is very wet.夏天，有些地区十分炎热，湿气重；

But others have dry air, so the heat does not feel so bad.而有些地区湿度低，热起来不会觉得很不舒服。
