A debate involves a discussion of the pros and cons of an issue.辩论是对一个问题的赞成与反对的讨论。

Debating successfully is all about using argument and persuasion to convince other people that your views are right.辩论成功即使用论据劝说使他人信服你的观点是正确的。

Here are steps to debating perfection.完美辩论的步骤如下。

First, research the subject,so that you have facts to back up your views.首先，研究主题，让自己有论据来支持观点。

Then, use logic to develop your case and make your points.然后运用逻辑展开论证，并提出以说服别人赞成自己的观点。

Lead each point on from what you were previously saying.把之前所说得都引导到要点上。

That way you build up a story and expand your answer.这样，你创建了一个故事，并阐述了答案。

It's always good to consider the counter-arguments in advance.提前考虑好对付的论据总是好的。

That way the other side can't catch you out and you're always prepared.这样，对方不能让你犯错挑你的毛病，而你总是有所准备的。

Next, be open-minded and prepared to change your opinion if the other side convinces you your argument is flawed.接下来，要心胸开阔保持开放的思想，如果对方证明你的论据有缺陷，要乐于就要准备改变观点。
