Zina:  He's on the phone right now. I ¹⁾ imagine he's finding out.

吉娜：         他现在正在通电话。我想他就要知道了。

Dave:  What's he going to say?

戴夫：         那他会怎么说？

Zina:           He might find it a little ²⁾ awkward, but he's going to thank me.

吉娜：         他或许会有些尴尬，不过他会感谢我的。

Dave:  Are you sure?

戴夫：         你确定吗？

Zina:  Yes. Because I'm going to help him become a very, very rich man.

吉娜：  对。因为我将会帮他变得非常非常有钱。

【On the phone 在电话上】

与phone搭配的动词包括answer, speak on ,talk on。要注意phone之前要有定冠词the。“接听电话”是answer the phone，绝不可误用receive, speak/talk on the phone是“在电话中讲话”。而“你的电话”在英文里绝非your telephone，应说It's for you或You are wanted on the phone。

A:  Janet, you are wanted on the phone.

     珍妮特，你的电话。

B:  I'm sorry. I Just can't answer the phone right now.

     抱歉，我现在没有空接电话。
