新版iPad测评

2012-03-27来源:ABC

So here with my new iPad. And over the last couple of days, I've gotten a couple of questions. The first is should I buy the iPad2, now that it is $399, or should I get the new iPad for $499? I've also gotten the question. I have the iPad2 but should I get the new iPad? Let take a look at some of the differences.

When you got the new iPad and the iPad2 side by side, you really not gonna notice the difference. The new iPad is a tiny bit thicker and a tiny bit heavier, but in hand, it really doesn't feel any difference. But when you turn that display on, you definitely notice the difference. The new iPad has a Retina Display with a very high resolution. And what that means is any images or video you look at on this screen look absolutely gorgeous. It's really the prettiest screen I've ever seen. The new iPad also has a faster processor and you are not gonna really notice the difference in normal activities like web browsing or checking your email, but when you are playing games or you are looking at high definition video, you are definitely gonna notice the difference.

One of my biggest complaints about the iPad2 is its camera. I actually took some shots I was embarrassed to upload to facebook. That's not a problem now with the new iPad. There is a new iSight camera which is a 5-megapixel shooter. It takes much crisper shoots. But I'm not really sure you actually want to hold a tablet in public and take pictures. One of the big things that everyone was hoping the new iPad would have was Siri. And Siri doesn't come along for the ride on the new iPad, but there is some dictation software. It's kind of hidden, but when you have a keyboard, you can tap the microphone and speak right in to it. Why don't you have Siri? The less major addition to the iPad is 4G LTE. Now not everyone is going to need this because if you got WIFI, you really are fine with the base models. But 4G let you have faster speeds on the go, you can get it from Verizon or AT&T. I've been testing the AT&T version around New York today. And it's been very fast. That was able to load the ABC website in just 3 seconds.

So to answer that question new iPad vs iPad2, here is what I would say. If you got an iPad2 right now, you can hold off on buying, unless you really, really, really want that nice display. We are sure Apple will have a new version next year. If you going out to buy a new iPad, I'd say splurge and spend the extra 100 dollars on the new iPad. Again, it's worth it for the display.

And there's one last question I definitely have an answer to. If you got the original iPad at home, this big thing, you definitely want to go out and get the new iPad.
