The 'Bounty Hunters' walked the red carpet at the festival's opening ceremony, sharing details of this new film project.

Hong Kong veteran actor Wallace Chung is one of the stars of the film, known as Shang Jin Lie Ren in Chinese.

"There were scenes of car chases and fast-driving at the beginning. Shooting of these scenes helped open my field of vision."

Actress Tiffany Tang Yan, a well-known TV star, is the lead actress in the film. She says making "Bounty Hunters" was a thrilling experience.

"In it, I had to jump from one car to another. Meanwhile, a lot of our energies are put into the shooting of fight scenes. Maybe some fight scenes will end very quickly in the movie, but in reality we were given one day off just for the practice of our action parts with the fight choreographer and did rehearsals in advance."

The film tells the story of five bounty hunters who chase fugitives in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, South Korea and Thailand.

Green Screen and other technologies are widely used in action-adventure films today, and it now offers Wallace Chung a fresh experience.

"Simulation technologies are applied, which provide animated 3D human models that may guide us to do actions accordingly. Eventually after editing, the visual effect would look like what we discovered from the 3D human models in the pre-shooting phase. To me, it's a very unique experience."

Fast-rising "Gangnam Blues" star Lee Min-ho, who co-stars in this Korean-Chinese co-venture, also appeared at the opening ceremony, joining Tang Yan and Wallace Chung to promote their new film, which will be released this summer.

In addition to the red carpet ceremony which gathers stars who promote their new film projects, the opening ceremony is also marked by the presence of the seven-member jury of the Tiantan Awards, including Chinese actress Xu Qing and Hong Kong director Teddy Chan.

Jury president Brett Ratner, the American producer of Oscar-winning film "The Revenant," delivered a speech at the event.

The ceremony also contained a brief introduction of 15 films in competition for this year's Tiantan Awards.
