Police in Albuquerque New Mexico say the bodies of 13 people including a fetus have been found in shallow graves at a construction site west of the city over the past month. Two of the bodies were found Thursday night. Police have identified two as women who sometimes work as prostitutes. Both were reported missing back in 2004. Now they say the bodies were likely buried by one person. The local sheriff says because of the age of sites where remains were found, he feels that there's no need to fear an active killer is on the loose.
In Riyadh Saudi Arabia doctors successfully separated a pair of conjoined twins. The boys were from Egypt and arrived in Riyadh February 10th. The hospital where the operation was performed is already famous for separation surgeries. They've already performed 20 operations on conjoined twins at that hospital.
An executive arrested in a billionaire's allegedly scheme to defraud investors has been released on bond. Laura Pendergest-Holt, Stanford Financial chief investment officer is charged with obstruction of justice. She's accused of lying to SEC investigators. Prosecutors say Holt is one of the few people who know where the eight billion dollars allegedly stolen from investors are hidden. The SEC has accused the company CEO Allen Stanford of conducting a massive Ponzi scheme but he's not been charged within any crime.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton heads back out on the road tomorrow. This trip will take her to the Middle East and Europe, during the first part of this trip she will meet with leaders in Egypt, Israel and the Palestinian territories. Clinton will also meet with her Russian counterpart during a stop in Geneva Switzerland on Friday.
We have barely passed 2008, and politicians on the right already auditioning for 2012. It's happening at the conservative political action conference or CPAC in Washington right now. The group takes a presidential straw poll today. Contenders include rising young stars like Governors Bobby Jindal and Sarah Palin. Old hands are also jockeying branding the new president as a socialist. Conservative Radio host Rush Limbaugh is the keynote speaker later today. (www.hXen.com)
