Good morning to you from the cnn center in Atlanta, I'm Reggie Aqui. Thanks for checking in. Here is what's happening right NOW IN THE NEWS.

The reinvention of General Motors includes both improving the competitiveness of our operations, but also, we absolutely must -- we can only win if we get the job done in revenues -- selling, marketing, selling great GM cars and trucks today, and selling great GM cars and trucks tomorrow and in the future.

That's the word from Fritz Henderson--GM's new CEO, who spoke to reporters last hour in Detroit. He says his automaker will do whatever it takes to reinvent itself as a successful company, preferably outside of bankruptcy, but he says if that can't be done, the automaker hopes it can in his words to get in and out of bankruptcy. What about Ford? Well, it is now borrowing a page from Hyundai's playbook. It will cover up to one year of payments on any new Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle if the buyer is laid off. The automaker is also offering zero-percent financing on some of its cars. A Ford executive says consumer confidence is the biggest issue in the marketplace right now.

President Obama is on his way to Europe to try and persuade other nations to follow his lead on rescuing the economy. His first stop, well, that will be the G-20 summit in London. The president will then head to Strasbourg, France to meet with the French president. Mr. Obama then heads to Germany to set down with NATO leaders. He'll wrap up his overseas trip in Turkey.

Police in London have given the all-clear after a security scare near the Bank of England in London. Roads leading to the area were closed after a suspicious package was found near the bank. The incident comes just two days before the G-20 summit begins in the British capital. (www.hXen.com)

And keep your eye on your computers. Because a worldwide virus called Conficker could come to life tomorrow, April Fool's Day. Experts think millions of computers running Windows may be infected. But they are not exactly sure what the virus will do. They say it can stop automatic antivirus updates, block certain websites or could possibly steal your financial information. For safety tips, search Microsoft Virus.
