In the Philippines, some the people have not had shelter or electricity for more than a week since typhoon Haiyan slammed into the island nation. Officials say with storms like this, typhoons and hurricanes, storm surges are usually the biggest threat of property. Many Philippines are in desperate need for food and supplies. The US, UK, and other countries, are part of the relief efforts. Now some of that aid is finally reaching to victims.
In middle of chaos lasting a week or so, there are signs now that the relief operation could be on the way in earnest. For about three hours now, line has been forming now several hundreds meters long of people that have from different surrounding areas. Some of them walk up for an hour. They say they have to walk because of bus fares transport fares have increased five folds in some cases. And they are coming now for the first time to receive some food aid.

Nearly 50, five zero, 50 tornadoes were reported on Sunday afternoon. At least 1 person was killed as a result of the severe weather and the storm left behind extensive damage. A storm chaser told cnn that the storm was moving so fast that it was hard for him and his crew to keep up.
