[00:05.49]Was it only a coincidence
[00:09.64]that Anne appeared at the wishing well
[00:14.00]just after Johnnie had made his wish,
[00:18.65]or was there something more that caused her to appear?
[00:24.61]Some people feel that when things like this happen,
[00:30.04]it is not just a coincidence,but a manifestation
[00:36.49]of some higher power or order where all things,
[00:42.66]including our thoughts,some together.
[00:47.91]"Ridiculous!"say others."That's all superstition."Perhaps
[00:55.07]-but let's take a further look before we jump to conclusions.
[01:01.10]We all know that some things exist even though
[01:06.43]we cannot see them with our own eyes:
[01:11.00]electricity,love,pain,the sun on a cloudy day.
[01:17.24]And many of us have had the experience fo deja vu
[01:23.10]-the feeling of having been in a specific place and situation before.
[01:30.15]Most of us have performed various superstitious rites,
[01:36.21]such as blowing out the candles on our birthday cake
[01:41.04]or crossing our fingers for luck.
[01:45.80]Many of us have had a dream about a friend or relative
[01:51.54]who we havn't seen in a long time,
[01:55.77]and then the person just happens to appear the next day.
[02:01.13]Throughout history people have observed strange,nunexplainable events
[02:09.28]and have wanted to know their cause and their meaning.
[02:15.03]Scientists have studied nature and have found perfect order in it,
[02:21.98]down to the smallest levels of existence.
[02:27.30]Psychologists are studying the human mind
[02:33.05]and making important discoveries.
[02:37.60]And yet,as deep as we go into things,
[02:42.95]there are always mysteries that lie just beyond our understanding.
[02:49.69]Within nature we have discovered a particle smaller than the electron,
[02:56.46]and through an abstract formula(E=mc2)
[03:02.49]we have found the ink between matter and energy.
[03:08.32]But in spite of all the scientific progress we have made,
[03:14.35]there are still questions and happening that we call
[03:20.31]"supernatural"because we do not understand them.
[03:26.26]Do miracles as recorded in the Bible happen in our life?
[03:32.92]Some insist that they do.
[03:37.36]There are many people in the world today who,
[03:43.22]at one time in their lives,were declared terminally ill,
[03:49.28]but have completely recovered without the help of medicine.
[03:55.13]There are recorded cases of people doing things that,
[04:01.76]under normal circumstances,would be absolutely impossible for them.
[04:09.03]An extreme case is a frail old woman
[04:14.48]who lifted a car off the groundwhen her grandchild was trapped under it.
[04:22.14]And there are also cases of people who claim to have seen"visions"
[04:28.49]of their times and other worlds.
[04:33.35]Somethings we hear about"coincidences"
[04:38.00]that are so extraordinary we have to stop and ourselves
[04:45.23]"What made such a strange thing happen?"
[04:50.40]For example,a friend says,"I haven't seen Mary in ten years.
[04:57.74]I dreamed about her last night,and she called me today."
[05:04.20]Is it just a coincidence?Or is it something more?
[05:10.94]Of course there are many mysteries in life that we do not understand.
[05:17.47]And many people are troubled because
[05:21.72]they don't have the answers to these mysteries
[05:27.37]But there is no need for despair,
[05:32.02]for as long as there is that force
[05:36.35]that brough Anne and Jonnie back together,
[05:41.50]there is hope for the world.And that force is love.
