In a long and bristling letter published today in Cuba's state-run media, Cuba's long-time former President Fidel Castro wrote that Cuba does not need what he calls the American empire to give Cuba any presents.
Castro, the 89-year-old leader of the Cuban Revolution, writes that his modest suggestion is that President Obama reflects and does not try to develop theories about Cuban politics.
During President Obama's three-day visit to Cuba last week, he did not meet with Fidel Castro, but met several times with his brother Raul Castro, the current president.
