The trademarks include rights to the use of President's name for socks, advertising and consulting services, beauty salon services and more. 

China had previously rejected these nine registrations, but has reversed course and given provisional approval. The Chinese have now granted a total of 39 registrations to the Trump family business since the President took office. 

A Trump organization lawyer says the company is just trying to protect the brand against unauthorized squatters in a country known for trademark infringement.
