Fox News:美国国防部长向朝鲜传话
Defense Secretary Jim Mattis told a packed Army conference in Washington D.C., that while diplomacy remains the priority for dealing with North Korea:
(Mattis) "There's one thing the U.S. Army can do, and that is you have got to be ready to ensure that we have military options that our President can employ if needed. We currently are in a diplomatically led effort."
The news comes on the eve of North Korea celebrating the founding of the communist party there in 1945.
In the past, Pyongyang has marked national holidays with missile tests.
Monday, President Trump said in a tweet the United States has been unsuccessfully dealing with North Korea for 25 years, giving billions of dollars & getting nothing in return.
