pardons – n. to officially say that someone who is guilty of a crime will be allowed to go free and will not be punished

puzzling – adj. causing or likely to cause confusion : difficult to solve or understand

encounter – v.  to have or experience

obese – adj. very fat

crispy – adj. pleasantly thin, dry, and easily broken
