expensive和dear的区别:
这两个形容词都可以表示物品价格“高”、“贵”。Dear (反义词 cheap) 指价格比通常情况或其实际价值高。例如:
In the middle of the summer, fresh oranges are dear. 在仲夏,新鲜橙子很贵。
Expensive指物品的质量高价格也高,含有超过购买者的支付能力或超过一般生活水平的意思。例如:
That is a beautiful coat, but it is too expensive for me. 那是一件漂亮的外衣,只是对我来说太贵了。
He lives in an expensive flat. 他住在一幢奢华的楼房里。
注意:Dear 表示价格“贵”这一意思时,要用物品做主语,不能用 price 作主语。
